  The Project Working in the food industry, I see so much food go to waste. Even though employees eat what they can, most food is dumped without a care regarding what or where it is going to end up. The reason that this is such a problem is because the food is being contained in sealed plastic bags which are to be sent to a landfill and rot amongst other actual items of garbage. The idea I propose is having composting facilities for processing these food scraps. Whether it be from food prepping, mess-ups in the kitchen, or leftover items from the customer’s plate; if it is food, it should go in a designated area, collected from these restaurants, and sent to a place where it can utilized properly. Doing this would eliminate so much of the waste that accumulates in landfills, and these composting facilities can use this food waste to enrich soil and help from an agricultural standpoint.  William Lu ART 291 May 4, 2021 Project Whether we like it or not, Digital art is becoming more and more a part of our everyday lives with no sign of dying down.  This project aims to take advantage of the new and ever increasing wave of interest in digital art, specifically regarding the world of NFT’s or Non fungible tokens.  An NFT is a digital asset that is untradable and represents a unique piece of art in the digital realm, like a digital certificate of authenticity that allows interaction with a piece of digital art within virtual and augmented reality spaces.  The goal is to create a unique 1 of 1 NFT that is visually created using Blender or similar 3d modeling and animation software, paired with a musical production to evoke the feeling of relaxation.  There aren't many pre determining factors when dealing with the creation of NFT’s save for the fact that you want to make sure you’re not copying another artist’s work, but we will need to mint said proj...

Ashley Martin ART 291 Art Installation Project Project I am an ally who, along with BLM consultants, would like to participate in the discussion about the  struggles of minorities, especially black citizens, and the violence visited on them by authorities. Together  we can make a positive change and eradicate the systemic racism that infiltrates many US institutions. I  would like to bring attention to some historical atrocities by building an interactive social justice  installation that confronts inequality and police brutality. It will start with the civil rights movements and a  Martin Luther King Jr sculpture cast in mirrored steel, and will end with a line of riot police and a city on  fire. Throughout the installation the viewer will come upon various scenes of real police brutality all done  with blank mirror faces (except for Emmett Till and Martin Luther King). The technology of today is amazing compared to what it was 10 years ago, with the technology of today people can order parts and inventions from online websites and organizations to get a certain project started or completed. With such a wide variety of information out there in the world, the information accessible with a smartphone or pc, anything is possible.
